We have been manufacturing sealed units here in the South West for more than 25 years and have invested heavily in the manufacturing process to produce the highest quality double glazed sealed units. Every aspect of production is constantly monitored to ensure the consistency of products.
AllGlass & Glazing are delighted to announce that we are now manufacturing slim sealed units! These are an ideal choice for traditional and Listed properties as they offer an authentic appearance and are available with a lower sightline and narrower cavity than standard sealed units. This makes this style of unit suitable for wooden frames in older-style builds which may be subject to planning restrictions or building constraints. They are also a great choice simply where you wish to withhold the authentic look of the original windows.
These units offer a great way to achieve the benefits of double glazing in older properties without compromising a building’s authentic look. We offer these units supply only or as a supply and glaze service.
The slimmest units we can now manufacture are 12mm thick overall. This comprises two pieces of 4mm glass separated by a 4mm thick spacer bar.
We can use softcoat glass which will help with the thermal performance of the sealed units. We are also able to use edge tech super spacers which are warm edge bars which further add to the energy efficiency of the units and offer a reduced sightline.
If you require a slim unit but do not require a reduced sightline, we can offer a 4mm aluminium spacer bar which does not need to be manufactured by hand and so comes in at a more competitive price point.
