Fascia

A fascia board is a long, straight board fixed to the lower edge of the roof that acts as protection between the edge of the roof and the outdoors. It also carries the guttering and when done nicely can really improve the overall appearance of the property.

Soffit

The soffit sits under the fascia board and can be ventilated to allow air to flow into the roof area. If preferred, ventilation can be provided over the top of the fascia board. Condensation can form if there is not proper ventilation which could lead to damage to your roof.
