Traditional sliding sash windows are, without doubt, beautiful, and if you’ve got them in your home it is understandable that you may be reluctant to part with them.

However, many people are not getting enjoyment from these lovely traditional features. Perhaps they are cold and draughty: single glazing and movement can mean these windows are not as wonderful at retaining heat as they are to look at! Some are painted shut and so do not offer the ventilation they used to.
